| FINALLY! We are almost done with the house. Carpeting was installed last week throughout the house. We went to Levin Furniture and picked out a new couch and 2 recliners. And to finish off the shopping spree, we tried out several mattresses in several different stores (mattress salesmen are very strange and pushy) to pick out a king size pillowtop and headboard at Original Mattress Factory. It was wonderful to sleep in an actual bed instead of the old mattress on the floor. Draperies were hung in the bedroom and curtain panels were made for the living room. All I need now is the trim work done and a door hung on our bedroom. We have been using a shower curtain on a tension rod for quite some time now. Although it does match the room, a door will be nice. As soon as it gets 3 more coats of poly (one coat on one side and 2 on the other) applied to it, we will be ready to hang it. That is about all for this long over-due update. I must go and tend to the ill little boy I have home today. Mary- You're children are still looking slightly blank in their frames, since their photos didn't make it through the fire damage. | | |
| All the paperwork is done (I hope!) We should be starting something, anything, soon!!! It is getting warmer each day, so I be able to work outside soon. I will be so glad to have an actual living room again, one with a couch to sleep on Saturday and Sunday nights when Brad is snoring. I don't fit too well on the loveseat. We are starting to turn green here. I have plants and flowers coming up everywhere, I don't know what all of them are, but they are appearing. The previous owner was a landscaper. I imagine there is a little of everything he may have had leftover from various jobs. I seen a gardening diary here somewhere, I must find out what Brad did with it. I told him not to throw it away. Hopefully he didn't throw it away. | | |
| The cold must be effecting my typing. Look at all those spelling errors! | | |
| It's a liitle chilly here in Greensburg. Not too bad in the house considering all we have is 3 space heaters. I have been baking this afternoon and that keeps the kitchen warm. Nothing fancy just a boxed pie and now I have the chicken in for dinner. Tomorrow I am going to back the ham. Emly and Grant are supposed to have ball practice tomorrow, but I think it is going to be too cold to be outside for that length of time. I hope the coach call and cancel it. Hope everyone had a great Easter! | | |
